Victrix and Warlords are both about to release new hard plastic sets. Victrix will be releasing French artillery to cover 1805 to 1812 with 3 guns and 15 per box. You get the choice of 8 pounders and 12 pounders. Warlords will be releasing French chassuers a cheval with 12 figure per box. How many are looking forward to these new troops ? |

I am thrilled to see both. French artillery for 1812-1815 would also be nice (not sure, honestly, of the difference in period). The Chassuers-a-Chevel I am very excited about considering the number of regiments in the period. I also read somewhere they were planning on doing the Lancers soon too. Erik |

Both excellent additions. If I was about to do 28mm Naps I'd be wetting my pants! |

Chasseurs a Cheval and Dragoons were the cavalry workhorses (pun intended ;-)). They were the strongest: thirty regiments each ! So I am looking forward to this interesting group. |

Chasseurs to lancers dead simple and really clever. Different head, change right arm and that only for front ranks. Horses the same………… French artillery pre and post Bardin relates to uniforms and cut of coat. Shorter tails and also the cut away coat, to reveal waistcoat, gives way to jacket down to waist level all across the front. |

Yes very excited for all 3 of these new releases (Warlord are following the Chasseurs up with Lancers) Just wish they had come a little earlier to make it onto our table for our 200th mega game! Same for imminent Perry hard plastic Brit Lt Dragoons. Still, better late than never! |

I can not say for sure , but Besides the 1812 regulation uniform, I think the 1812 artillery set will have 6 pounder guns instead of the 8 pounder guns of the first set. I just wish they had added some howitzers to the mix. |

Glad to see new items come out for those that like the hard plastic. They do offer a good price. I myself tried them and really do not like having to glue together so many parts. Not worth the effort and do not stand up as the metals do. I will stick with metal figures. |

Perrys have announced a late June date for their British Light Dragoons. Victrix say they'll be taking preorders on the French artillery from next week (probably). Warlord Chasseurs a Cheval have just become available. Exciting times for lovers of plastic Naps. |

Remember the French arty even if it says 1805-1812 can be used for the 1813 and 1814 campaigns as well, really only waterloo is a no no |

A no no. Surely not. Although not strictly accurate I would imagine most respectable gentlemen of the gaming persuasion would allow you to field these gunners on an 1815 battlefield. |
