Okay, having finished my scout squad and the Not-Predator underway, I'm fishing around for a proxy dreadnought. The Ion-Age Battlesuits are the obvious choice as I'm using Knights for the SMurfs, but they don't quite hit the spot for me… Not enough skulls perhaps? I'm also considering using HOF Zidhe for a Not-Rogue Trader era Eldar army as I don't really have any aliens in my collection, but would really like some dreadnoughts, phoenix and spirit warriors etc. More difficult I know because of the rather leggy style? |

I was planning on converting some of the new plastic Wraithguard for use as Eldar dreads when I do my 15mm Eldar. I will probably go down the scratch building route for the Smurf dreads. |

Not quite sure about the Dreadnought, but for the not RT era Eldar I'd highly recommend the Old Glory Terran Confederation Legion Troopers, I've got some painted up as Eldritch Corsairs, and they are just a treat to put on the table. |

Wraith guard look like an excellent basis for a dreadnought. Anyone got any suggestions for ghost warrior proxies? link I was also wondering about using the new centurion armour as a basis for a marine dreadnought? The price is a little eye-watering though! |
