Note: Heroes of the British (Canadian) side. Just in case anyone is expecting more.

The Americans had heroes in the War of 1812 besides Andrew Jackson?

Seriously – good link but it would be good if the US government highlighted a few American commanders

They do have some small pamphlet like works that mention Scott and Harrison. I don't think they've finished the series yet. I can't remember if they've done the ones for the defense of Baltimore.

Nice find Armand. I particularly enjoyed reading about the lessor known Canadian heroes of the War of 1812.

Thanks.

Since Winfield Scott had a long career and made General as well as command the army, I would say he was an American hero.

On the Southern Front, their were several heroes. One was Andrew Jackson. Another was his main commander Coffee from Tenn. Another is Sam Houston who later fought in Texas.

It's a Canadian government website. Just a little cheerleading for the home team.

General Robert Ross, I think Baltimore may have been different if he had lived.
