As per my posting of the Friday Nashcon photos TMP link , a link to the Saturday morning photos appears below the following dozen or so photos. I'll get to the rest of Saturday and Sunday as time allows. The gallery view has about 50 photos covering a smattering of games: I was heavily into the Bob Moon's game ( I was the leader of the British) and didn't get to everything. It was all a hoot !!

The Alamo game looked great might I ask who won? I took part in an Alamo game some years back where I played an Alamo Defender and I really enjoyed it by the end of the game the Texans had about half it's number still alive so the Texans won. The people who ran the game ran it again the next day and however it happened Santa Anna got killed. Great pictures all around. |

The Battle of Tewkesbury Raise your sword and the standard of York or Lancaster and come re-fight the Battle of Tewkesbury! Cory Ring and Titch White bring us this War of the Roses battle using masses of 28mm figures and slightly modified "Tactica Medieval". Also, these tiny warriors will be fighting over some great looking terrain including custom terrain mats by the game's sponsor, Cigar Box Battle. Players, up to 8, should be prepared to roll handfuls of six sided dice and have handfuls of fun! Some hear the thunder of the charging Knights and the swoosh of the arrows as we determine who will be King! |

We played the Alamo twice, First time the Texans won the game, 2nd time the Mexicans. Victory is determined by Mexican casualties, as the Alamo WILL fall. A successful defense is well nigh impossible. |

Coopman, that was my game. The rules were mine which will be in print this summer. They are titled "Vows of Iron". The battle was Bouvines, 1214. Allen |

Obviously I had the wrong medieval game listed with the photos of Allen's gorgeous figures. It should appear as follows from the event list. Battle of Bouvines 1214 In 1214, Ferdinand, Infante of Portugal and Count of Flanders, desired the return of the cities of Aire-sur-la-Lys and Saint-Omer which he had recently lost to Philip II, King of France, in the Treaty of Pont-à-Vendin. He thus broke allegiance with Philip, assembled a broad coalition including Emperor Otto IV, King John I of England, Duke Henry I of Brabant, Count William I of Holland, Duke Theobald I of Lorraine, and Duke Henry III of Limburg and invaded France. King Philip, after having summoned all his vassals and gathering an army of around 15,000 troops, set forth to try and stop the invasion. The two forces clash as the Allied army, estimated at 25,000 men, draws up facing south-westward on the plain east of Bouvines and the river Marque. The outcome of the battle may well determine France's future. Allen Campbell brings us this exciting game using 28mm figures and "Vows of Iron" rules. Room for 6 players. |
