Online photos show it as a dark brown wash – anyone give a better description of this wash product? |

I find it to be more of a blackish brown, as opposed to some dark browns (like Winsor-Newtons Peat a Brown ink) which I find to be more of a reddish brown. |

Sounds about right. This is my new favorite thing. Works great on all shades of brown of course so very useful in painting horses (You should see what it does to Vallejo Red Leather). Tones down yellow when used for blonde hair as well as flesh tones. Also good on reds and dark greens. Not good for light blue shades. |

It was the replacement for Devlan Mud, which was my old favourite – I agree with Davenbenbak that it is a pretty good all-purpose wash for many colours except light green and light blue |

It's a good 'all rounder'. I pretty much use it to shade all colours. |

Yes, I use it as a general dip/wash on all but light colours and blues. Its nice to use and consistent. I still think Devlan Mud was better though! |
