I am hoping someone can help me. I just got the game and read the rules. Two things are not clear to me.

1) Special Rules. Some use X, like you get X extra movement. But the rules don't say what X is. Is it a D6? Or what?

2) On the first scenario there two strategic objectives both worth one Victory point each. But then the rules says first player to 6 VP points win. How? There are only two VPs. How does one earn 6 victory points?

Thanks

1) X Is whatever number is listed with the buff on the character or unit's card.

2) A victory point is gained at the end of each turn in which you have an infantry figure on the objective point. Note that if you have a model in there at the beginning of your turn you "own" that objective until an enemy figure moves into it-- you no longer have to keep a model in there to continue garnering a point at the end of your turn.

Thanks Jerry,

I had figured the first one out after I posted but the second one still had me confused.

I recommend going to the Rivet Wars Forum if you haven't already. I have learned tons of great strategies and answers to various questions there. The members are quite nice and there are loads of neat threads to wade through.

Thanks for the link, I WANT to like the game…I mean I bought in from the beginning, but the rules are not terribly well organized and are clear as mud in certain parts.

You got me there, Doctor. But I said "great" in the first sentence and just didn't want to be repetitive! 8)=
