Based on an offhand comment on another thread, I wonder when we all go to bed and get up … what are the different conditions … how regular are your sleep patterns … and how does that interface with your gaming? To start things off, I go to bed between 2200 and 2300 every day (weekday, weekend, holiday, etc.) and get up about 0400. I can push it a bit if I want to and could skip it if absolutely necessary (i.e., for work). I game around my schedule rather than schedule around my gaming. That means I usually miss the late (drunken? tired?) game at cons, but I can get up, work out, eat breakfast, and check email before going downstairs to help people set up in the morning. It also means I can only get about 13 hours or so on a drive, but with SWMBO as the alternate driver, we can log 20-22 hours on one leg. |

Pretty much the same except I sleep until 0630. I'll get up a little earlier if need be but like my full 8 of sleep. |

My sleep pattern (lack of) nowadays is extremely erratic. My body seems to want to sleep in 3hr bursts with 6hrs awake. I can force the awake periods both up and down but the 3hrs sleep seems fixed and over a few days I have to keep close to averaging 1/3 of a day in sleep. By working the awake times I can fit myself to almost any other persons schedule so no real problems with my gaming. x42 |

Awake 0430 hours everyday though on days off I can go back to sleep for an hour or more depending on circumstances. Bedtime is more erratic depending on circumstances but I shoot for 2130 hours as a target. Average 6 on workdays, more of off days. |

I'm retired, I get up when I wake up. Life is good! If I took a nap or fell asleep on the couch watching TV I tend to wake early. If not…. I wake up late. Some where between 6:30 and 10:00…. like clock work! Hehe, like I said, life is good! |

On weekdays, go to bed at 0030 and get up at 0800 hours, so around 7.5hrs sleep a night. Sometimes I go to bed a little earlier if I'm tired. On weekends usually go to bed around 0100 hours and up whenever my kids allow… :) Damon. |

Weekdays I usually go to bed around 1000 and get up at 0640. I wake up when the sun comes up though, so before 0640 in summer and after 0640 in winter, which is why I have a lightbox:) Weekends I stay up later and get up later, but usually up and about by 0800. |

In bed by 2230. Alarm goes off at 600. I need 7 minimum, 8 is better. Gaming happens when gaming happens. Family is first, Work second. Fortunately, I work for a company that takes life/work balance very seriously. |

Rich and I have similar sleep patterns! Bedtime about 10:30, up between 0600 and 0630, nice to get 7- 8 hours but I can get by on 6 Priorities are right, too – family first, then work, then gaming Fortunately I have an understanding spouse – she sent me off to go game with my buddies Sunday afternoon when I got to command a French division in the Penninsula (les Rostbefs are tough to move off a hill!) |

Ah, I missed the bit about gaming:) Weekday club nights we are usually all so old and tired that we aim to be set up by 7pm and finished by 9pm (ish). Home in time for Ovaltine and bed. Game/re-enactment/sports events at the weekend often seem involve getting up at stupid o'clock, driving long distances and/or staying over/camping. But you can plan for that. |

for most of my working years it was a 0430 wake up and 2030 lights out. now retired, usually at 0630 or 0730 with lights out at 2200. gaming wise, when i was actively attending cons, evening games required a mid afternoon nap. and that was with them ending by 2200. skipper John has it right! :-) |

Usually around 1 AM, since I can sleep in if I need to, and writing works better for me, late at night |
