Just posted an update about my ongoing work completing my terrain lay-out for the 1879 Second Afghan War Battle of Charasiab, dealing with village buildings and reeds for the Kabul and Logar Rivers as well as the Khairabad Swamp.

Thanks for the comment, Clays Russians. I've heard the same thing before. An English gaming friend of mine visited the Charasiab area, South of the mountains below Kabul, a while back and he says the area is virtually unchanged from the descriptions written by British officers who were there for the 1879 battle. Needless to say this was a big advantage for me, as I've been able to use Google Earth to research the entire 4 mile wide by two mile deep battlefield.
