Somebody died of natural causes!
When's the last time that happened?

SBSchifani24 May 2015 8:25 p.m. PST

John, is the queen supposed to be unaware that the pit fighters are purchased?

John the OFM24 May 2015 8:43 p.m. PST

It may be convenient to not remind her. She's starting to refine that Targaryean Temper.

Tango0124 May 2015 9:37 p.m. PST

What a good surpirse to see Sansa with little clothes for the first time! (smile)

And the Spanish girl… oh! my! (smile)
Like very much the scene on the jail. I never mind that she save him!.

Good time for the fat guy! At least!!…
Never imagin that John Snow left his dog to his friend care!

Cercei… I was seeing that…! Too much power to the church/religion ended always like that! (smile).

So, poor Thomen better take a ship and go with his sister!.

Who is in charge of Kingslanding now?.

Leadership in Kings Landing has been obliterated. In the books, Kevan Lannister comes back during Cersei's lengthy incarceration, being Hand in all but name.
It's all a Tyrell conspiracy, although Margaery does not seem to have been let in the secret. grin

As for Sansa, Sophie is now 18 or 19, but Sansa is 14 in the books, so stop being a Dirty Old Man.
Tyene is of legal age, though, so lust away.

THANK THE SEVEN GODS that they cut the long excruciating Worst Cruise Ever for Sam and Gilly and Aemon. Four chapters of woe and seasickness.

Ghost and Sam are best buddies. Good doggie!

Thanks John for the clarification!! (smile)

Seems you enjoyed the show as I did!. (smile)

By the way… which would be the fate of Thomen if there would be a judgement of his mother were all that oscure history can be put in light.?

At this moment… the only "strong" candidate of the throne is Stannis! (like him every chapter)

Can wait to see Tyron with Khalesee!

Tommen would be the King, regardless of Cersei's fate.
If Uncle Kevan would step up and accept being Hand, all would be OK.
Tommen can rule in his own right, if anyone would listen to him.
If he can assemble the City Watch and march on the Sept, he can liberate his Wife, his Brother in Law and his Mum. I find it odd he hasn't thought of it already.
I saw the same shrieking "I am the KING!!!" behavior as we saw in his late brother, but he quickly backs down.

When I first began reading GOT I was (like many others) appalled that my favorite characters kept being killed. But now, and for a long time now, I watch to see who of the many many nasty ones finally get theirs.

Ahhh…one more episode closer to winter. Can't wait.

The Beast Rampant25 May 2015 3:21 p.m. PST

Four chapters of woe and seasickness.

Martin was only trying "put you there". Seemed like it lasted four months, didn't it? He's a master.

Tommen the Indecisive Baratheon, First of his Name.

He's, what- thirteen? Seven? Wait, I can't remember anymore.

Yeah, I am ready to join the Dragon Queen Haters Club. She acts like Mormont showed back up on her lawn at midnight with a boom box held over his head. I would think she would have a good notion that slaves are not interns, or something. She keeps throwing away the only really capable ally she has. Maybe she IS going to start people-bonfires on game night before it's over with.

I watched that one on a strangely Low-D hotel TV. I am looking forward to the Basic Cable Gang's Official Viewing for reasons of, um…things and stuff. grin

Jon would never leave Ghost behind when traveling beyond the Wall. One of the many plot wholes GOT writers have added. (Not as bad as Littlefinger leaving his prize Sansa in the hands of the notorious Boltons.)

When's the last time that happened?

What so getting; beheaded, stab through the chest, poured molten gold over your head, etc…

Aren't Death by Natural causes?

I thought they were.

darthfozzywig28 May 2015 3:47 p.m. PST

Jon would never leave Ghost behind

Except that Martin pretty much does exactly that when he needs to kill a character:

Robb's trusted wolf? Better lock him up before I go to the wedding dinner. STABBY STABBY.

Jon's trusted wolf? Better lock him up before announcing that I'm leaving the Wall. STABBY STABBY.

So yeah, I don't find it any more out of character than when Martin does it out of character to kill them.

Thomas Thomas29 May 2015 8:34 a.m. PST

The situations cited are completly different. Jon is traveling beyond the Wall on an extended and dangerous mission but with no need to hide Ghost. So Ghost would not be left behind.

In the situations cited the wolves were locked up for diplomatic reasons for short durations. The attacks were from allies and treacherous – ie without warning. So here the wolves were breifly locked up at the request of apparent allies.

Totaly different situation. Hence the huge plot hole. Though not the biggest in the ham handed attempts to bring Martin's work to the screen.

Jon knows he has very little support with the Night Watch, also that his only good friend need backrest from someone or something to survive till he return to his post.

So, maybe he left Ghost with him with that purpouse.?

Locked up for plot device reasons. Martin is ham-handed on his own; HBO is just editing for time. ;)

>Jon knows he has very little support with the Night Watch, also that his only good friend need backrest from someone or something to survive till he return to his post.

Wait a minute – he won dead on 50% of the vote for new Lord Commander, wouldn't half the garrison be on his (and his allies) side?

Bob Runnicles04 Jun 2015 11:23 a.m. PST

I just hope that Alliser Thorne isn't so predictable as to refuse to let Jon back in – it would make him a stronger character to obey Jon's commands imho, even if it was grudgingly.

Winston Smith04 Jun 2015 11:44 a.m. PST

The previews show Jon showing up at the gate. North of the wall. He and his horde escaped Hardhome by sea.
Geographically speaking… How?

Bob Runnicles04 Jun 2015 12:04 p.m. PST

To artificially provide the afore-mentioned showdown between Jon and Thorne?
