If you were going to play a Dr. Who scenario on the tabletop, which rules would you prefer? |

I use Pulp Alley for all my Dr Who gaming. |

7TV – a development of the DWMG rules and IMHO an improvement. |

Anyone tried 7TV, or other rules, with the Doctor facing a Dalek horde? I've got a bunch of the old GW plastics that would be tempting to use…. |

This blog has Mods for using BOLT ACTION for Doctor Who: link Haven't tried them, but they look pretty good! |

Those Bolt Action mods look great, and seem just the thing for all my plastic Daleks and Cybermen ^,^ Now to find a 28mm be-scarfed Doctor, Companion, and K-9! |

I saw a post either here or on Lead Adventure Forum by one of the GASLIGHT authors on using those rule for Dr Who. One of the key things he suggested was that you move the doctor's storyline from the foreground like it is in the show, to the background and let UNIT take the foreground. You can just use the doctor as a variable turn counter, as he tries to run around gathering bits to build his anti-Cyber-Dalek whatsit. |

That's one of the reasons I started to use Pulp Alley. The Doctor and Companion(s) are in the forefront of the action and Pulp Alley is flexible enough to mimic the different Doctors and bad guys. |

I'd probably use the Doctor Who rpg produced by Cubicle 7. I also have the old FASA version, but I found the system pretty clunky. |

Rules for doctor who? Doesn't seem right. I think its better just making up stuff as you go. Suddenly the doctor has a brilliant plan, uses the sonic screwdriver on the thingamagig and the dalik ship implodes into a black hole.
Seems more in the spirit of things. |
