Hi :D

Since it's my first post on this very forum I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Tom and I'm crazy about eastern european renaissance so after discovering SP I've decided to make a variant of SP for wargaming the cossacks' rebellions from 1591 to 1651.

So briefly what's it all about:

- man-to-figure ratio, roughly 1:5 (so not a company level game, rather up to 4 companies)

- gaming small engagements between poles (mainly cavalry sometimes with small detachment of dragoons) and cossacks (mainly infantry with warwagons support and a group or two of dragoons)sometimes with tatar allies

- many changes in terminology to add some period flavour

- biggest changes in armament and fistcuffs

- campaign system inspired by TSS

Here's a very very rough draft (hope it's not a breach of copyright laws):

Welcome, and thanks for the link to your efforts.

Some good ideas there, Tom, thank you. I'm working on a similar variant for the Border Reivers and Irish Tudor wars of roughly the same period, so very helpful.

Have you thought about submitting your ideas as an article for the next TFL Summer Special? Richard has just put out a call for contributions.

Would love to see that in a Special.

Yes, I'd like to see the Irish Tudor wars as well!
