Hello, I have some Pz IB F2 and later models (Pz IV H) can I use then together in a game set in 1944, or would the F be anachronistical? Thank you

The F2 or Mark IV Special was a stop-gap and saw action mostly in N. Africa and the Eastern Front. Even if there were a few examples in Normandy they were probably negligible.

But play what you like and don't worry too much about history.

F2s were renamed G. Call them 'early Gs' no-one should notice; (I doubt your Cromwell commanders would care what the heck model they were- A 75L43 Is still a 75L43). Many Gs in Normandy. The G messed a bit with front armor and front suspension issues. Look at piccies for both; can't tell the difference.

Close enough. The key distinguishing feature of the F2 is its distinctive rounded ball-shaped muzzle brake. Otherwise it's physically no different from an ausf G.

Ah, yes. Thank you. Now I see. [not sarcastic] My 'vast' knowledge is based upon 'something I read somehere' and my perusal of the PSC box and bits and some random images on the interwebs!

Ah, my favourite Airfix kit for german armour was the Panzer 4 F2, I was sold with the box art at age 11!
