Just got started on the Westfalia limber, the second ammo cart and their 9pdr as the alternative tow. I got the six horse team from Perrys (BH66), but they were intended to pull something very different, of course, the four wheeled ammo cart. The riders of this train wear the plainer, plastron fronted style, as for the Royal Waggon (sic) Companies, only blue instead of red, not the laced chest with coat tails. My various sources (esp C E Franklin) seem undecided as to which might have been worn in 1815, by those transporting right to the front line. Any views here? Would RHA differ from Foot drivers also? |

Actually I think that the field artillery drivers wore the uniform as shown on the left-hand figure and the RHA drivers the one on the right. Franklin seems to confirm this. |
