Plastcraft Games will start selling this month, new sceneries in 28 mm for Infinity. These sceneries are pre-colored which should mean pre-painted

I wonder if "pre-colored" means that they are in some of the basic colors one might use like some of the snap together models used to be. They look pretty cool.

From what I've heard they should look reasonably close to that, out of the box. They're properly printed, not just basic colours. I like some of the curves – can't do that with MDF – but I'm not really into the overall design.

Glad you like them boys!. (smile)

"can't do that with MDF"

A company called Shark Mounted Lasers is attempting to prove you wrong.

I think I've seen a couple of MDF buildings before with the "netting" solution to curves (may have been SML or somebody else). Not sure how durable it is tho. Might not even take very well to dry fitting. Any actual experience with those welcome.

I'm holding one of the new Infinity buildings from Antenociti in my hand as I type* as I had it for review in the next Miniature Wargames.

It has both double and single curves using that 'netting' method with pre-painted MDF and is pretty darned robust.

That "netting" thing is just called a "living hinge".
It's been used by quite a few people over the years – it's just a lot easier to do these days with lasercutting thingummywhatsits and not CNC mills.

Not "used to be," most of the Bandai models are still on multicolor sprues.

And yes, the precolored resin pieces simply had some dye or pigment mixed into the resin before curing.
