I've long had an interest in the Bay of Pigs invasion and once tried a 15mm project using Peter Pig figures with a lot of help from Martin Goddard, but never completed it as 15mm never gave me the visual appeal I wanted. I'd love to do it in 28mm using Chain of Command, 30-40 figures a side with a few heavy weapons and a vehicle or two. As both sides used ww2 surplus, I think it is do-able, though the cuban army and militia might be more problematic as they used belgian fn fals and czech machine pistols. Anyone have any pointers regarding figures I might use? I am quite happy buying extra figures and doing head swops and simple conversions, but nothing too elaborate. |
