Given the this website is mostly about miniatures, should TMP produce its own merchandise for sale that epitomises all that is good about TMP and its membership? It could be a moderately successful fund raising enterprise. I know that one site in particular produces a miniature black and white coloured cat. Personally, I like the idea of a coyote – similar to the cartoon character Wiley Coyote of Warner Bros fame. Ha, ha, I would most certainly not suggest a rat on a sinking ship! Tee-shirts, mugs, posters, maybe even a chess-set with figures sculpted to represent some Big-Hitter individuals on TMP, past and present. What miniature figure do you suggest could be appropriate? |

I'd wear the T-shirt if it was simple and tasteful. |
Chokidar | 21 May 2015 3:10 a.m. PST |
I would wear a T-shirt if it were BIIIIIIIIGGGGGGG! |
Joes Shop | 21 May 2015 3:37 a.m. PST |
I would buy a t-shirt, coffee cup, etc., to support the site. |
DontFearDareaper | 21 May 2015 3:41 a.m. PST |
TMP can sell anything it wants, but I don't buy bling from game companies, I doubt I would buy bling here. That doesn't keep Bill from going that route, just being honest here about what I personally am interested and not interested in buying. |

No. That is not a good idea, and I would never buy it. |

Those of us with limited wardrobe choices, due to being persons of size, might appreciate a miniature wargaming themed fashion collection of XXXL-sized t-shirts, polo-shirts, short and long-sleeved oxford shirts, faux-medieval bathrobes, sweat-pants, speedos, muumuus, and so on. In my opinion. |
OSchmidt | 21 May 2015 4:29 a.m. PST |
Makes no never mind to me, but I won't buy it. I don't advertise for other people. |

I would only buy a t-shirt if it listed the offenses for getting dawghosed. |

A T-shirt with the TMP logo and your Screen name would be cool to rear at Cons. |
legatushedlius | 21 May 2015 7:02 a.m. PST |
I have never understood why I should pay people to advertise their product! |
Banned for Hating Trolls | 21 May 2015 7:08 a.m. PST |
No thanks. I've never been a fan of "logo" shirts. So I would not buy one. From the looks of the way the thread is shaping up, it looks like I'm not alone. Other's millage may vary of course! Martin |
Flashman14 | 21 May 2015 7:43 a.m. PST |
It's not just directing people to the site – it's also about signaling to others that you may have a common interest. That's what my Iron Maiden and Thomas Sowell t-shirts do. |
skippy0001 | 21 May 2015 7:46 a.m. PST |
Logo'd painting supplies would be nice. |
Patrick Sexton | 21 May 2015 8:19 a.m. PST |
Things along the lines of Matakishi's Tea House Cat would be cool and I would buy them but clothing? No. link |

T-shirts? Coffee mugs? Think big people! "Tears of our Enemies Ale – the Ale with the bitter froth on top!" |

I don't see the problem, though I'm not sure I'd bother. I mean, you can set this stuff up pretty cheap and easy nowadays. |
The Beast Rampant | 21 May 2015 11:04 a.m. PST |
I like the idea that a long-term membership renewal (of whatever length Bill finds cost-effective) should get you a TMP supporting member pin. |
Gone Fishing | 21 May 2015 11:14 a.m. PST |
Thongs is at first hilarious (I nearly spewed my hot beverage) and then, as the picture gradually coalesces in the mind, horrifying. I'm not much of a merchandise guy, so I wouldn't be a customer for this sort of thing. |
Mardaddy | 21 May 2015 11:36 a.m. PST |
Bill used to have a way to have your screen name w/TMP logo underneath that you could print for and wearing it as a sticker or badge at conventions if you wished. Looking through the FAQ, not seeing that anywhere anymore. |
wrgmr1 | 21 May 2015 11:52 a.m. PST |
Shipping would probably cost more than the product. |
Old Contemptibles | 21 May 2015 12:17 p.m. PST |
If the proceeds help improve TMP, then sure why not. I would not restrict it to TMP only merchandise. Have some gaming or historical specific shirts and caps for people to wear while gaming. |
mad monkey 1 | 21 May 2015 12:37 p.m. PST |
Might buy, might not, depends on what the merchandise is, and how it looks. |
HammerHead | 21 May 2015 1:26 p.m. PST |
Hey, heres an idea a small charge for the trade to advertise. |
Crumple | 21 May 2015 4:06 p.m. PST |
Limited edition miniatures would be the way to go. Wasn't there some call for a Bill and his Angels figure set a while ago? Why not go with that. |
Crumple | 21 May 2015 4:08 p.m. PST |
If Hasslefree could be persuaded to do it they'd look stonking. |
DisasterWargamer | 21 May 2015 4:17 p.m. PST |
I would certainly consider products |
Timbo W | 21 May 2015 5:59 p.m. PST |
Teacup with automatic storm generator? |
Cattle Dog | 21 May 2015 8:04 p.m. PST |
a T shirt for the mosh pit |
zoneofcontrol | 21 May 2015 8:29 p.m. PST |
Perhaps a ramshackle Dawghouse in a couple of different scales, a la Matakishi's cat. |
Cherno | 22 May 2015 2:01 a.m. PST |
I would buy a ZardoZ diaper-suspender combination, especially if it has matching knee-high boots. |
Alfred Adler does the Hobby | 22 May 2015 3:13 a.m. PST |
Sure – why not? Go for it! ;-) |
Cuchulainn | 22 May 2015 4:32 a.m. PST |
Hey I've got it… a chess set representing TMP on one side and Frothers on the other!! Both sites members would buy them, profits could be split between them, and all future "disagreements" settled over a nice genteel game of chess and a large Cognac in the library (or alternatively with the lead piping in the ballroom…). :O) |
Endless Grubs | 22 May 2015 8:28 a.m. PST |
I already have a shirt that says "Tango's Miniatures Page" |
Guthroth | 23 May 2015 11:38 a.m. PST |
If it's V BIG and reasonable cost I,d go for a tshirt to wear to shows. Be interesting to meet other tmpers ftf. |
Weasel | 23 May 2015 12:33 p.m. PST |
Maybe make a set of famous/infamous TMP posters :-) I'd buy an OFM figure to lead my Soviets into battle ;) |
Charlie 12 | 23 May 2015 4:38 p.m. PST |
I suppose TMP could market its own tchotchkes (there are sites that'll do that for you), but as to why is beyond me (I know I would never buy such stuff). |
Editor in Chief Bill | 24 May 2015 11:54 a.m. PST |
Perhaps a set of TMP personalities, in both zombie-fighter and zombified variants? |
Charlie 12 | 24 May 2015 2:50 p.m. PST |
How 'bout an OFM figure leading his favorite AWI unit? (That I might buy… Always need well upholstery command figures…). |
Militia Pete | 24 May 2015 3:39 p.m. PST |
I am with Coastal2 Now, if we can have him holding a Betsy Ross Flag to add to the fun… |
