You would think all of these WWII German mech suits would suffer from Tiger and Panther syndrome as well. You know, works great when it works… but makes you a perfect statue in the middle of a field when it doesn't! Great potential with an even better break down rate! Or worse still, heavily armored but underpowered like the King Tiger so even old ladies with walkers can outpace you! And as nobody ever tries to fight fair, would you make an immobilization roll if they were run over by a tank for metal getting caught in the treads or would the weight of the tank simply push them into the ground? To be fair, I do wonder the same thing about 40K. In the grim darkness of the future, is Astares armor still being built by the lowest bidder? That would explain why fluff doesn't meet actual battlefield performance! Larry |

I imagine it would be hard to "hit the dirt" wearing that armour Also as noted it would make "double time" a whole lot different |

More likely just sink into the ground to the knees or even further – sort of a marginally portable foxhole. And don't mention plunging fire…….. |
