I had to use it for purposes of this poll suggestion. How should the phrase "s… j… w…" be treated on TMP? 1. Don't do anything. 2. Bleep it and nothing else. 3. Bleep it and make it a dawghauasable offense. 4. Bleep it, make it dawghausable, and account suspension for repeated use. 5. Permanent ban from TMP 6. Permanent ban from TMP, then castration, followed by stoning then burning then a final transformation into a decorative urinal. 7. Enter your own punishment here |

Is this for the self-appointed s…j…w or for it being used as some kind of insult? I don't really know the context to this sudden "TMP Issue" – but if anyone wants to call me a S..J…W – well, that sounds like a badge to wear with pride and honour (although in truth I wouldn't really deserve it anyway). Rhetorical question: Who isn't, in broad principal, in favour of a just society? |

1. Take it off the list. Particularly since it can be evaded by non-capitalization, misspelling, leaving out "warrior" and so on. You just proved it doesn't work in headlines and titles. Ever play Whack-a-Mole? |

Those who ARE s.j.w. people should really consider it a badge of honor. We the fans of military history can come up with any number of "insults" that were adopted as badges of honor. Consider the Sea Beggars. The Protestant French cavalry called "Millers". And so on. And if some tender flower gets the vapours over being called a social justice warrior they really need to get a life where there are warning triggers to spare them from life's harshness. . |

I can't recall the last time I disagreed with Bill on anything but I'm a 1 here. |

Can we think of a suitable term for the far right religious extremists on his board? Because the term is used, and I know it sounds odd, as a dismissive insult by that very type. |

Gee. Sure beats being called a warmonger or a baby killer. I experienced both of those a lot back in the '70s. Of course, that wasn't on the net. It was expressed personally. Sometimes while I was in uniform in my hometown by folks who were at one time my friends. Amazing how I bore it. Some folks these days might very well drop dead from such ill treatment, so it would seem. |

It wasn't any of the TMP users who could be possibly called it that brought this issue up in the first place, btw. I think that should be emphasised. |

Definitely a 1! Seems to be three words that are completely incompatible for the most part! |

Wasn't "Grognard" an insult originally, back when people wore funny hats? As the self-proclaimed, card-carrying Chairman of the Social Justice Brigade, I must add that the term doesn't bother me in the slightest. |

I never heard the term until it came up on TMP. Now I have heard it all over the place. It is used as an insult, but as something the target can say right back "You bet I am!" To ban it makes no sense. If you want to use it and sound like Sean Hannity or Michele Malkin , be my guest. |
