Has anybody got any of the Steve Barber Models range and what do you think of them? Is that one of his older ranges? Mark |

I just ordered two "giant" figures from the range, the Cyclops and the Bronze Man/Talos. They are very nice models, cleanly cast and easy to assemble, so I am pleased. The Hydra also looks nice. I can't speak about the normal sized figures. I think the range might date from the 90s. Note also they are 25mm, and so would be considerably smaller than most modern figures. |

I have their normal Hoplites, not sure if they are from Mythology range. They are 28mm and mix extremely well with 1st Corps and Foundry. Their shields are larger than Foundry, about the size of 1st Corps. Realy good sculpts too… |

I had the cerberus the three headed dog, which is a normal hound-sized dog. I also had the fleece in the tree which is a cracking model! |

I'm working on a Greek Mythology project in 50mm, so a good deal of these don't help me much, but you might consider taking a look at Relic's range for the old myths. One never hears much about them, but they are really very stylish, at least to my eye. Their Hydra looks exactly like I've always pictured it (probably due to some illustrated book from youth): snakelike, squirmy and nasty! I might even cave to temptation and get it for my bigger boys. Excellent stuff. link |
