I have always thought the charge of the gas mask wearing cavalry (men and horses in Fraulein Doktor was interesting

While not really a "war" movie but set in that event, The Land that Time Forgot has one of the only scenes in movies with someone shooting a MP-18.

Westfront 1918 is a very good GW film, grimmer than All Quiet, but still not such as Stosstrupp, 1917.
In Westfront the intense trench fighting towards the end is excellent, even with the homemade tanks

The final charge in The Lighthorsemen is outstanding,

Most of the scenes shown in Armand's link are not really warmer friendly. The scene of Sgt. York picking off the Germans, like turkeys is better, and the scene of him bringing in the long column of prisoners is excellent.

Who can forget the great scene in The African Queen when Charlie and Rose are married by the captain, and then about to be hanged.

Gallipoli: the final scene. In fact, the final shot.

I can't pick one out of Beneath Hill 60, but there are some you will find in there, like when the protagonist dumps a whole envelope of white feathers on the table, or when the heroes are huddling together to discuss a plan with all possible seriousness and suddenly an English voice calls out "are you convicts gonna play or what?"

Dear Bobgar

Ah yes!! A classic, I love that scene with the horses with gas masks. Fraulein Doktor is a truly awful but truly wonderful movie.

For me though, the ultimate WWI movie is Paths of Glory with Kirk Douglas, Adolphe Monjou and George MacCredy.

From the start of the attack I'm almost in tears.
