Saw some amazing 10mm terrain and models and am really wanting to play at that scale. I know Dropzone Commander, Planetfall, and Dystopian Wars are all 10mm. I have no problem using any model in any game because my players are all relaxed about that sort of thing. What other game rules could be used with sci-fi armies in a 10mm world?

Future War Commander.

The scifi expansion for my Company Commander rules will work fine (it's intended for 6-15mm).

I know people who play Epic in 10mm though it's a bit harder to find some of the figures.

Future War Commander works great in 10mm.

I don't see any reason why Dirtside wouldn't work.

And of course, 10mm skirmish is a thing as well :-)

Crow: I own that! Now where is it?

Weasel: Are you referring to Five Core? Does it do vehicles and big monsters?

Weasel18 May 2015 7:47 p.m. PST

Warwick- Yeah, sorry.
The Company Commander version has a little scifi expansion with stuff like mecha, robots, bugs, big stompy monsters etc.

It's aimed at 10-20 "elements" on the table (individual vehicles or squad-bases)

I've been thinking about Five Core for a while. Looks like I'm going in. Thanks Weasel.
Is there a printed version or just PDF?

Weasel18 May 2015 8:13 p.m. PST

Just PDF.

You'll want this

(the skirmish rules have vehicles but not really big monsters, and there's not a scifi brigade version…….yet)

Tomorrow's War will work, though 10mm is getting to the point of being extremely difficult to ID individual infantry weapons.

Heavy Gear is also nominally 10mm (1/144 scale to be precise).

One solution when using small figures in skirmish games is to mark the bases in some fashion, so you can pick out squad leaders, heavy weapons etc. at a glance.
