google translate Waterloo The focus is on a 12 x 5 meters large diorama recreates the military events in Waterloo based on approximately 15,000 painted 28mm figures. This large diorama is complex with landscaped and buildings and mediated by LEDs an authentic insight into the flow of battle. Several small additional dioramas are special issues devoted to, among other things, so will the competitive farm La Haye Sainte, one of the focal points of the battle in detail. Waterloo A variety of museum objects from the collection of the Bomann Museum gives an insight into the military situation of the year 1815. The focus of the exhibits is units of the Kings German Legion and the 1813/14 newly established royal Hanoverian army. The spectrum ranges from contemporary uniforms and weapons through portraits and personal belongings of former Waterloo-fighters to objects of the culture of remembrance. Waterloo A special highlight of the exhibition is the first oil portrait shown by General Carl August von Alten on the battlefield of Waterloo. The visitor can see that the proportion of Hanoverian soldiers in this important battle for Europe was much larger than it is commonly known today based on numerous documents. Begleitpro |

Good God. That's at 10 men to 1 figure. I am boggling at the fact that one guy painted 90% of the 15,000 figures. 13,500? That's 13,000 more than I have painted in my life! Unheimlich wunderbar! |

Stunning diorama gents!!!! Amazing work! It's great to see in it's entirety. We were gob-smacked at seeing just one of the Cuirassier regiments at Tactia, but this is incredible! Well done! Alan and Michael |

Chaps, Not enough people have seen this or have commented on it! It looks absolutely fabulous and I think it deserves a pilgrimage to marvel at it. Maybe it needs another/new thread which makes clear in the header that it's a 15,000 Perry Miniature 28mm panorama because that would ensure that everybody sees it? Cheers, Paul |

Well said Paul, This is truly spectacular and surely the greatest dioramma of a military battle ver put together using commercially available wargames figures! Inspirational and a credit to everyone who was even remotely involved in this wonderful project. Question – will it remain on permanent display? Regards Carlo |

Two kneeling ranks in the squares? Respect! I've always cheated and just had one because I just couldn't afford that many Perry kneeling figs! I love these pics but please please please can we have (a lot) more? And more closeups? You can't let this amount of work be wasted in just 5 pics! |
