… has anyone gone ahead and play mecha battles just using the 40K rules? Seems like it would be plausible(scale and OOT issues aside)way to play Giant Stompy Robots in this scale… |

You could, but there are much better rulesets out there. We use "Mech Attack" for our 28mm robot battles. link It's a very flexible, fairly rules-lite system with a Battletech vibe. |

I have that set. I like it but it's time for a re write and condensing all the rules in one place. I have not tried the flying rules yet, though… |

Ordinarybass can you provide a link for "Mech Attack" please? |

If I wanted to do that I would just get out my Titan's from Epic. |

I hear you, Mithmee. I can do the same, but I'm talking about 1/48, over-the-top, just plain silly, Giant Stompy Robots gaming. A spectacle of big models on an obviously undersized table(4'X8' – 5'X12'). The likes of what Ordinarybass and his Chicago Skirmish club does(check out their blog for some great terrain, modeling, and game reports)… |

A few more months back I remember seeing a Blue Table Painting video with 2 of the Imperial knights vs 2 of the Eldar Titans. Found the video: YouTube link Looked pretty fun. |

Next month our club is going to run a multiplayer event in which each player uses 2 Imperial Knights…… should be pretty fun |
