I recently completed a commission for four, 1/144th scale, Razorback P-47s in the 61st FS, 56th FG. The kits went together well with the only real construction work being the conversion of the models from gear-down to gear-up (shaving plastic and filling holes). The kits do not include pilot figures so I added some Reviresco pilot figures.

The models come two to a box. Decals provided options for four different aircraft but not all from the 61st or 56th. There were sufficient national marking for the project but only one specific to the unit I needed (HV-V, Little Chief). So, I made the decals for the aircraft ID, serial numbers, and nose art on HV-O, -P (Lucky II), and -M (Pengie II).

I used Vallejo Model Color paints.

I really enjoyed this project. Thanks for looking. Kevin

I served in the 56th back in the 80s. Training group at the time for F16s.
