Hello, 1st off, what less expensive product is out there… $10.00 USD for the small amount I got is criminal… But, needed it, bought it…. Next, afterwards, how long do you wait to prime and paint?… So far, overnight, but seems still a bit pliable… Thanks.. Madcam. |

Lots of other folks sell two part epoxy (blue/yellow) putty and almost every one on the planet that does sells it cheaper than GW – usually much more for the same sort of money. When cured, it remains a little pliable (which has both good and bad sides to it). If you want something to set like rock, try a different epoxy product like, say, milliput. Just google them both to find local sources. John T |

Are you talking about the liquid green stuff? If so it is useful but dries out quickly. I haven't decided yet if it is worth it. The regular two part epoxy you can get at any hardware store for less and it is just as good. |

Milliput – isn't quite the same but it is usually considerably cheaper and can be sculpted and sanded when dry so in some ways is more versatile. |

The War Store sells Kneadatite (Green stuff) and Procreate (grey epoxy putty) at good prices. Green Kneadatite will stay flexible if you use it to make thin structures (like swords). The Brown version of Kneadatite sets much harder and can be sanded. Procreate can be mixed in varying ratios to create a sandable finish. Set up time is about 3 hours for Kneadatite and about half that for Procreate. All will be paintable after that, but it's best to wait 24 hour to be sure. |

Green stuff us good for casting as it pops out of a mould easily. Milliput is good when it absolutely has to not move or bend. Don't buy from GW as you can always get it cheaper from hobby suppliers, ebay or even plumber's merchants for milliput 24 hours will usually see both of them go as hard as you need for modelling uses, though that may vary with local temperature and humidity- check the product data sheets. |
