What rules would you use to do an RPG game where players are a multi national unit hunting terrorists all over the world. |

Top Secret RPG, updated with some home rules might do the trick. It is more espionage, though. link For "crunchy"… GURPS Special Ops? (again, dated, but GREAT info in the book.) link Warning: Some do not really care for the GURPS mechanics. |

I was just coming in to say Top Secret. We could never come up with spy scenarios that were any good when I was 10 so we usually just ended up in gun battles. All of our characters were ambidextrous and light sleepers if I remember correctly. |

Top Secret also had a Brushfire War supplement for scenarios with more action. |

Recon, IIRC, was about mercs, and special ops, so would be worth considering. I think it was made, or at least printed and distributed by Palladium Press. It may have been a supplement, or offshoot to another book, but I can't recall now, since it's been decades since I looked at it (probably for Vietnam). |

I would use Mythic for the RPG elements and maybe miniatures rules for any skirmishes that develop…or else just wing that with Mythic as well. Stars Without Number would also work well but would require some conversion to a non-sci fi setting. Or else I'd just wing the whole thing collaborative storytelling style Bob |

What you really want is Terror Network: link |

Depends on what sort of game you want. Cortex+ Drama (as used in the Smallville RPG) would be great for a soap-style game where the operations were just the backdrop for personal drama. Cotrex+ Action (as used in the Leverage RPG) is designed for heists, but would work quite well for the whole planning then executing the op side of things (and assumes by default that the PCs are really competant at what they do). Both FATE and HeroQuest make for good narrative games, where things are focussed on the story. GURPS isn't as crunchy as it's reputation suggests if you're just using the core system, but if you add in a bunch of the sourcebooks (Tactical Shooting would be a good one) then it can be about as realistic as you're likely to want to go. So yeah, what sort of 'terrorist hunting' feel are you after? Political thriller, action adventure, gun-porn, satire, character drama? Because frankly my answer for any RPG recommendation is going to depend on the genre waaaay more than the setting. |

We use Morrow Project rules for ours. Easy to add in new weapons and gadgets for games. |
