All,
The title says it. I'm looking at doing the Pacific in 28mm. I'd like to get a couple tanks, trucks etc. I am more interested in price than quality. What are the least expensive models?

If you're willing to play with 1/48 you can source everything much cheaper than warlord's 1/56.

On that note, 1/48 shermans can be grabbed for about 10 bucks a pop at Walmart (not all Walmarts mind you) or online very cheaply.

1/48 Revell Combat Crushers make up almost all my shermans and with some love they turn out great.

If you decide to turn your attention to Europe there's a company makes panzer IVs with Schurzen which sell for under 5 Euros at he Arnhem Airborne museum. A bit of paint and they're just the job; my wife has several of them. I'm sure the museum'd post them to you.
I expect you're going to toil of Japanese stuff.

Has anyone used the hard plastic armor that Marx made for their WWII sets? It appears to be smaller than 1/32nd and is quite inexpensive.

Cheapest of all would probably be papercraft. World of tanks has a 1:50 Sherman and a Chi-Nu: worldoftanks.ru/ru/media/10

Here's a Ka-Mi, pontoons and all: link

Paper won't work unless someone wants to build them for me!
