Hi All, I was talking with my friend the other night about old fantasy figures ranges and he recalled seeing a range called Bifrost Miniatures in the old Minifigs/Skytrex shop near Victoria Station in London way back in the 1970s. There were also adverts in old Military Modelling as well. That was where he first heard of them. He says that he can remember the elves of the range had helmets, but that's about all. They may or may not have been connected to the Bifrost RPG rules, but maybe not. They were made of quite soft lead and,a bit like old Archive figures, prone to wear. Looking at Lost Mini Wiki there doesn't seem to be any reference. Perhaps they were made by a company with a different name from Bifrost. Does anyone know anything? Does anyone have any pictures? |

Wow! I remember that shop lol. I seem to remember a range of elves called Eldar in the early/mid 1970's McEwan Miniatures which also produced some undead called the Legion of Acheron. I don't remember a Bifrost Miniatures though |

I have a number of the 'Legion of Acheron' amongst my undead very thin figures and I like and I have a few very slim elves which I have down as 'The Elder Race' probably what Samnite308 is calling 'Eldar'. They wore crested helmets. I have a niggling feeling I may have had some Bifrost miniatures (I still have the rules). If right the alloy they were made from was so soft that the, rather nice, winged reptile flying beast collapsed under its own weight when the wings and rider were attached. x42 |

Thanks guys, I guess that my quest is pretty obscure. If ever you dig out a Bifrost mini 42brown then please post a pic here. I will look at any old Mil Mods that I find. Perhaps there will be pictures there. Thx Samnite for your input too. |
