I recently talked to a friend of mine who has several Rebel and Imperial Squadrons plus cards, dice tokens etc and I'm thinking of getting them from him.

So if I do indeed get them(and I'm leaning towards doing that)what other things do I need to round it out?

One thing I might need to get is the starter set to get me started in the right way.

So any help would be grateful.

Thanks in Advance
Michael

Yes, you'll definitely want a start kit. By squadrons, which exact ships do you mean? Just the fighter squadrons or something else?

Will what my friend has is Rebel Fighters etc and Imperial Fighters etc.

He just sent me some pictures and there's a lot of stuff in bags and from what he told me he was one of the playtesters.

From what I've seen I'll be working a trade with him.

I think it plays sort of like a sailing ship game. The biggies circle each other slugging it out. Fighter squadrons add a new wrinkle. It's fun. The minis are beautiful.

I heard nice things about the minis and that's a big reason why I might get into the game.

I have played Napoleonic Naval games before so I understand what you mean.

Ah, in that case I'd just buy the starter and add the fighters he has and try the game out!

Yeah you already get ten squadrons in the starter (6 Imperial, 4 Rebel) so your friend's will be a welcome addition.

Played it for the first time last Saturday, had a blast! Looking forward to the next game for sure :)

Just picked up the starter set so look forward to checking it as well.

I was able to get a reasonably priced copy of the rule set off ebay and today I bought a Gladiator Star Destroyer and a second Nebulon B Frigate at a local store where I got 20%off the ships.

Once I get the rules I'll start learning it.

And regarding my friends Imperial and Rebel Squadrons from what he said he has a lot of all the squadrons so with what I got myself and my friends Squadrons I'll most likely never need to get anymore of them.
