"Scarlett Johansson hosted SNL the week Avengers: Age Of Ultron opened, and the show featured a trailer for a fake Black Widow movie—a rom-com in which she's an intern at Fashion Weekly and falls for genocidal robot Ultron. The first half of the Supergirl extended trailer plays like a serious version of that parody, with Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) flirting with James (not Jimmy) Olsen while evading the advances of her just-friends coworker, and getting coffee for her publishing executive boss (Calista Flockhart, doing a combination of Meryl Streep and JK Simmons). Reaction has been decidedly mixed, to the point that CBS put out a more action-heavy recut of the preview. It's great that CBS is moving forward with Supergirl after Greg Berlanti's other DC successes on The CW (and at least it's not the legendarily disastrous Wonder Woman pilot), but it's going to be a rocky start"

That… does not look good.

Well, superheroes and the Devil Wears Prada don't mix. They'll probably add Fifty Shades of Spandex to it.

This is dreadful

Wow. I'll probably do something else, like yank out my eye lashes, one at a time, slowly. That will probably be more fun.

It looks like a current WB superhero show that's aimed at women with a bit of "Lois and Clark" romance thrown in.

nazrat15 May 2015 8:55 p.m. PST

It looks appallingly bad, and the "trailer" is actually a cliff notes type thing of the entire awful looking first show.

Well I haven't been watching the recent DC TV series but … that doesn't look that bad. The effects look pretty good, and the actress isn't wooden.

That is so freaking horrible.

Really, Really horrible.

I don't think I am the target demo for this. But I think my daughter will love this show, depending on how age appropriate it is.

Agree with you!

ahh, it is what it is. My 11 and 8 year old daughters will love it. I'll be able to watch it instead of surfing the net while it's on.
