Not that long ago, there were few, if any vehicles available for use with 28mm figures (with the notable exception of science fiction settings). Now there are at least a half-dozen companies selling 28mm tanks, armored cars, and other vehicles that are suitable for this scale.

While some individuals may prefer one company's armored cars, and another company's tanks, speaking on the whole, who do you think manufacturers the best vehicles for 28mm gaming? How do you define best (ease of assembly? detail? durability?)?

Depends on what part of 28mm gaming. If I were going to do 20th century, I'd probably go mostly with 1/48 model kits. They are affordable and plentiful, and usually as-or-more detailed than the resin kits. Further, they scale well with the "bulk" of most 28mm minis (especially metals) and when you take into account the 3mm of a standard slotta style base, they're only about 2 fractions too tall.

The cheap Hobbyboss, Academy and Kitech kits would be where I'd start.

As for how I'd define best, it's hard to say, but my priority would be affordability, matched with a good level of detail and durability which would preclude high-end kits which are overloaded with small and breakable parts.

Optional asked who makes the best kits for use with 28mm figures.
Not about using 1/48 kits.

Maybe a good poll would be 28mm kits or 1/48 ?

have you looked at 1st Corps? Cast in quality resin with metal parts.

I have a lot of Company B and JTFM resin vehicles. I like them a lot. Some of them have metal detail parts, some have resin. Some of the smaller bits of resin can break easily. I also have some Army Group North resin tanks but now all they make have cast on bases, which I don't like.
I have only three Warlord tanks since the third one was designed so poorly it is unusable (Char B).

I was being intentionally vague, as "28 mm" covers a multitude of definitions.
