link Hi Everyone, The cult of the shiny has hit again, the no new project in 2015 has been broken, but hey it May, thats good, isn't it ! These GHQ ships are a thing of beauty, a bit fiddly at time for old fat figures here but I am happy with the result. Cheers for looking, Regards Ken Yarkshire Gamer |

Fantastic. I'd give the world to know your method for making the turret top rings. Was that freehand? |

Oooh, now you are tempting me. Ive been looking at GHQ for a while … no, no … must finish current project! The base work is first rate – paintwork too. |

Thanks for the comments people, much appreciated. Capt Hobby, turret rings are free hand, I did an initial ring with a light grey and then an off white ring on top, the contrast hides the mistakes ! If you like the bases there is a link to a tutorial on how to do them halfway down the post. Still waiting for the rest of the ships I ordered to arrive. Regards, Ken yarkshiregamer.blogspot.co.uk |

Nice look, yarkshire gamer. Like the bases. I recommend that you take a look at the new Rapid Prototyped Plastic line from WTJ, World War One and Pre-Dreadnoughts. I've been buying them in 1:2400 scale, one of 4 different scale options. The detail and quality for the price has been amazing, with no tiny bits to glue together. |

Cheers Warren, the only thing thats has put me off is the lack of a UK supplier. |

Well, part of the point of 3d printing is that there's no need to produce stock. The models can be printed on demand, in the scale choice requested, as the orders come in. So there's no stock to be stored at a distant distributor. Just exchanged emails with Jim at War Times Journal. He says that the UK is his second largest market after the US & Canada. He also ships elsewhere in Europe and to Australia and New Zealand. I'd suggest trying an order and seeing if you like the experience of ordering direct from WTJ. |

Thanks for that Warren , I might just give them a go with a smallish order, look out for some painted comparison pics when I get them done. The rest of my GHQ stuff still hasnt arrived. Regards, Ken yarkshiregamer.blogspot.co.uk |
