Gombe, Nigeria (NAFP) – An attack on a diplomatic mission from the United Alien Council and the Yu Jing Ambassador left seven dead.

The brutal assault took place near Gombe State University while Ambassador Lei Wei was showing Legate Oschock the city on the border of the Yu Jing wedge.
Captain Yu Mai of Yu Jing Security Services, said that the attacking force consisted of 10 attackers. During the fighting several unsuccessful attempts were made by alien terrorist aircraft to penetrate Yu Jing airspace in the wedge, she said.

"All ten attackers were either killed or taken into captivity," she said.
Mai said that two Yu Jing soldiers were killed in the attack and another five were injured. She said that two of the Legate's Praetorian Guard were injured in the attack two but participated in trying to repel the attackers.
"One of the Praetorians was instrumental in our defensive measures," she said. The Praetorian guarded one side of a building prevented an advance by the terrorists on that side while Yu Jing defense forces moved up the other side to route the attackers, she said.
The attack left wreckage over several city blocks.
Resident Tiwa Olinlola said that she was about 10 feet away from the Legate and the Ambassador when the shooting started.

"They came out of no where. They were impossibly fast and the whole area was covered with spikes," she said.

Olinlola said that in the initial attack two aliens were killed but two of the Praetorians and the Ambassador's two bodyguards were down.
"I just ran after that," she said.
"The whole thing happened right in front of my window," said Kalu Balogun, a student at the University.
"I could see them moving up the street behind the market," he said.
"After the initial assault there were five more of the terrorists moving up," he said.
Balogun recounted that the attack seemed clearly to be aimed at the Legate and the Ambassador.

After Yu Jing security forces arrived they moved up to secure the area and then the Ambassador and Legate were quickly moved into an aircar, he said.
"One of the attackers shot at the aircar while it was on the ground still and I saw smoke pouring out of it," he said.

"The Ambassador and the alien guy got out and ran to the other aircar," Balogun said.

He said that after the second aircar took off with the two diplomats the aliens started moving back the way they came.

He said he saw Yu Jing forces go after them as they retreated.

"There was a lot of gun fire. I saw two soldiers drop in near where the aliens went," he said.

Several local sources contradicted the official report that none of the terrorists escaped. YJSS would not answer injuries calling their statement into question.
