I wonder how Ottoman troops (Janissary and Sipahi) would be best represented in Neil Thomas One Hour Wargames rules.
Sipahi as Cavalry or Reiters, or someting different, in between? And Janissary? Some kind of Infantry (Infantry being the term used in OHW rules for Pike and Shot troops). Or rather the Swordmen catagory. Again, somewhere in between?

My guess: Sipahi as cavalry, Janissaries as swordsmen, all other Ottoman foot as skirmishers – oh wait, they don't have skirmishers in this period. Hmm, maybe grab the skirmisher rules from horse and musket. All other cavalry as reiters?

Good luck, tell us how it plays.

I am not so satisfied with the cavalry/swordsmen option, but I guess taking the verrry generalized approach of the rules into account, that may indeed the best option. Will post once I tried that out.
