Which active miniature wargaming show – set in Australia – do you consider the best? |

Well CanCon is certainly the biggest! In South Australia, OzHistorican back in 2010 was outstanding – small but really friendly and a great buzz! My preference though is MOAB in Sydney – medium sized, by Aussie standards, but you still get time to get around everything in a day. |

Can only get to MOAB, so MOAB it is…. |

Obviously I am biased, but I vote for Little Wars Melbourne (31st May) and Little Wars Adelaide (11th July). An amazing variety of games on at both and a good many traders too. Plus free to enter. Nic EUREKA MINIATURES |

The one(s) you can get to? Been to CanCon lots. Enjoyed every visit (despite the "morning rush from Sydney down to Canberra", then "arvo rush from Canberra back to Sydney" on the day). I used to stay for a couple of days but now, no longer feasible. Don't know what my excuse for not getting to MOAB is. I always seem to notice it only a week or so after…….. Tin Soldier Con at the Institute in Sydney used to be good, in it's day. Never used to miss that one. Duck |

CANCON – the biggest and best! |

Leviathan out in west Sydney bit the dust recently. Was always happy to drive out there, always a pleasant event, but I'd be hard pressed to name another con in Sydney apart from MOAB that is large enough to attract traders. Not sure what that says about the Sydney scene. |

Shows you how long I've been out of the loop McWong73. I'd never even heard of that one. Hope (when it was running) it wasn't too close to where I am. That'd really be embarrassing………. Duck |

I'm with Nic. I've been to both Melbourne and Adelaide Little Wars events, and found both to be brilliant fun. Great atmosphere, lots of happy people. Adelaide venue needs beer, however. Only been to Cancon once, and while the scale is impressive, I didn't see anything there I couldn't see in a smaller venue, aside from a heckofalot of people selling stuff. |

Yes, I agree, Little Wars gets my vote too. |

Sadly I've only been able to make it out to LittleWars Adelaide (and Group North open days), so my vote goes to Little Wars. Glad it's a great event. |

MOAB not to big but not too small, plenty of participation games as well as comps and a variety of traders a good bring and buy. Cancon too crowded in the comp areas, but plenty of traders. Participation games can be few and hard to find. MOAB worth the drive from Canberra. |

For me in Sydney there is now only MOAB. Leviathan gonski but hopefully Hawkcon, which sounded good, can get off the ground next year. I can only make CANCON infrequently. I really envy the UK options; listening to the Meeples and Miniatures podcast they have a vast choice of conventions with at least one on every month. |

The average will be more than one a week in the UK |

I think I'll go to little wars in Adelaide this year or next. I have a friend there I've been meaning to catch up with. |
