"…I'm enjoying Tyrion and Jorah's budding relationship.

The bit of poetry they recite together as they approach Valyria was a great moment, one of the best of the hour. The attack of the stone-men (who Stannis mentioned in last week's moving seen between him and his daughter!) were suitably frightening. It was interesting to see Tyrion survive the attack unscathed, while Jorah finds himself suddenly afflicted. This is a neat twist from the books. Certainly now Jorah will truly never be able to touch his beloved queen again.

We ignored King's Landing and Dorne in "Kill the Boy" focusing mainly on the North and the far East. Ramsay is suitably grotesque, and it seems Sansa is catching on quickly to just how atrocious he is. Certainly his stunt with "Reek" didn't help matters. Too bad Sansa didn't try harder to find out what had happened, though if she believes Theon killed her brothers she has very little reason to trust him. I'm very curious where this goes.

I'm also curious as to Brienne's plans to help Sansa. I assume she'll take on the role Mance plays (in some form or another) in the books. There's a whole network of Stark loyalists who want to help Sansa, but there's very little indication that they'll be able to against the might and cruelty of the Boltons. Brienne is the blade she needs.

Jon is off to help the wildlings, against the wishes of the Night's Watch almost to a man. He's right of course, and I wish he'd plead his case more. Every dead wildling simply becomes a White Walker's zombie, and the living are much better with allies than they are with evil undead enemies. But Jon doesn't work very hard to get that point across, and nobody seems all that willing to listen save Stannis and Sam Tarly…"

My vote goes for Stannis!!

Good military… good father… good strategist…modest – frugal – brave – Comprehensive…etc
Yes, have this "little problem" at his side… but hell! we are humans… no?

Time for a quiz to know who people want at the Iron Throne? (smile)

I do not have HBO, and all the free streaming sites I have seen that offer it are garbage (my opinion based on what I have been exposed to, YMMV); so I am waiting to get the season on DVD when it comes out – to compliment my other GoT season DVD's.

I own and have read the books, and for myself, do not mind at all the differences between book and series.

I can see Stannis as "eventual" king after a season or two, having to contend with Daenerys & her brood as the climax in that part of the storyline…

Unless it is all upturned by a White Walker invasion, and everyone (who is left) has to unite (knowingly or not) against them…

SPOILER ALERT

LOL--thanks for the post---I always wait for the DVD set and am not overly concerned with learning how the show diverges from the books

Mithmee – only if they diverge WAAAAAAY far from the books.

I see him as influencing things from afar in warg form, but it was said many, many, many times, he would never walk again and he is now enveloped and one with the tree(s.)

I am wondering what happens to Hodor now.

Hodor hooks up with Meera.

I could REALLY DO WITHOUT the latest pre-show recaps that go back FOUR Bleeped textING SEASONS to make sure every drooling idiot 'gets' what is happening this episode. They should all begin "Spoiler Alert", since the context makes it super-obvious whats going down in the next hour.

"Remember greyscale? The stone-men? Are you sure? Are you really sure?".

It's the 21st Bleeped texting century. You can go back and watch previous seasons of GoT on fifty different mediums while taking a shower. If you STILL don't know what's going on, Bleeped text off.

I am shipping Hodor and Cersei.

The bald, naked, humiliated Cercei, or the Cercei in her prime?

Tango0112 May 2015 11:28 p.m. PST

I accepted a Cercei like she want! (smile)
