I'd like to publicly thank Alternative Armies for their excellent service. In the past weeks I've placed two orders with them for a 50mm Greek Mythology project I've started. I was able to take advantage of their April offer of free postage for orders. Living in California this makes a big difference when the items are being shipped from Scotland. Really appreciate that. They also included generous "goody bags" of more figures in each order, which made things even better. The shipping was very fast, everything was packaged beautifully, and the figure are splendid little sculpts. I also want to compliment Gavin Symes for his superb communication during the whole enjoyable process. I had several questions regarding the product and his Typhon rules and he took the time to give gracious, detailed answers to each one. We live in a busy world, and I certainly don't expect vendors (many of whom have other jobs) to "chat" much in their replies to customers--but when one does take the time it is something that really stands out. It deserves recognition. I am very grateful and look forward to ordering again. If any of you are considering ordering from AA or 15mm.co.uk I highly recommend them! |

Absolutely stellar service from Gavin and company. I've made a number of orders across his various online stores, and he and his company have been responsive, generous, and punctual in servicing my orders. AAA+++ service each and every time. |

Thank you! Thank you so much. We decided to run a good old fashioned value offer and many, many hundreds of wargamers really enjoyed it. I manage all of the email and social media for the company and often do this outside of office hours. April was simply manic and we worked seven days a week to keep up and we enjoyed every minute of it. I insist on speaking to everyone who wants to speak to us / me. It takes a lot of time but if you spend your money with us or enjoy our games then you deserve my time and support. It helps that I type very fast! All across the three websites along with combined orders by email. If you order from us your order passes through my hands at least once. GBS alternative-armies.com 15mm.co.uk theionage.com p.s. I hope this message proves I am always about! :-) p.p.s So happy am I that I have posted this thread on our three blogs. |

Hi Darryl. Coincidently, I did exactly the same thing! Well, except it was one UK order! It would be good to hear about your experiences with Typhon. I'm looking forward to painting my figures soon. |

Gavin, you deserve all the praise you get, really. It's clear you run a tight (and friendly!) ship. Great job! Chris, I think I may owe you thanks. Was it you who had a thread about matching larger figures a month or so ago? That's how I first found out about the rules and figures, so I really appreciate your mentioning them in the first place. One of these days I plan to run a game and will post a full review once it's done. I can say the figures are a lot of fun to paint, and the rules look as though they strike a good balance between detail (which fits a game in which bands would rarely get above six or so members) and simplicity (always an important consideration for me). The Gifts of the Gods are really inspired. If it would be of interest, there are added files for more monsters and additional rules on the Yahoo group's files, or perhaps Gavin could send them on to you. There is some excellent stuff there, including stats for several of my favourite monsters! Good luck with your project! |

Hi Daryl. Yes! That was me! Pleased it helped you out. I am in the middle of assembling my figures and have read the rules through. They seem like just want I am after for that kind of game. Oh, and if you source a good Cerberus or Octopus model for use with some of those God Powers, please post that too! :) Gavin has already sent me the files (he's good like that) and if anyone else reads this, they are well worth requesting! |

Hi Chris, This must be one of those cases of "great minds", as I've been thinking about old Cerberus and octopi recently myself. These are affordable and would be quite impressive on the table, I think: link link |

Doubly so, Daryl, as I have seen some Papo stuff in stores before and wondered (but not yet checked) if they had anything suitable! Thanks for doing that but of work for me!! |

Gavin, I concur on the excellent service. I also really enjoy the figure and the USE ME rules. |

Thanks Dave. USEME was my 'baby' and its sold over 5000 copies and I am really happy that the pocket sized fun it delivers had made so many wargamers happy. GBS |
