Is there a specific event for those of us who have never played DBA and wish to learn at this year's Historicon? I can't find anything like that in the PEL. I am thinking about bringing a few armies down and dedicating some time to learn DBA 2.2, 2.2+, or 3.0. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm helping run an Age of Arthur event (with armies and everything provided) on Saturday afternoon (1-5 pm) that is designed for newbies using 2.2+ and Tom Thomas will be running a DBA 3.0 newbie event although I'm not sure which day/time slot.

If those two events aren't convenient, I'd suggest you swing by the DBA gaming area and ask for David Schlanger, Tom, myself, and we'll find someone who can sit down with you.

Bowman:

I'm running a very newbie friendly DBA 3.0 25mm tournament on Saturday at 9:00 also a Ice and Fire Big Battle Game on Saturday night which features team play so that you will have an experienced High King or Pretender to help lead the team.

I'm also trying to organize a 15mm DBA 3.0 tournament but havn't settled on a slot.

My wife, son and I are also trying to set up some periods for walk up play just to have a game and learn from an experienced player.

TomT, were you able to setup a DBA 3.0 newbie friendly event? I do not see it in the PEL but I may just be missing it. Thanks.

Yes.

We have a 25mm tournament on Saturday AM and a 15mm event on Friday AM (both start at 9:00). These are both learn as you play events with both my son and I (plus wife who will be playing) to teach.

Finally we have an Game of Ice and Fire event on Saturday night using DBA 3.0 + HOTT. This is a big battle team event so your team mates can help you learn.

All events very much open to newcombers.

I will have lots of loaner armies for the 25mm event (I don't have many 15mm figures though).
