I see that is is cross posted to Solo Wargamers also. Are there specific mechanisms in it for solo gaming? |

daler240D Yes, very much so. There's solo mechanics for force construction for the Non-Player enemy, rules for their movement on the battlefield, and an easy to use campaign system that runs itself based on how well you fight. Rules where you don't know ahead of time what you will be facing, just a general idea. The opposing side runs off of a NP Force Movement system based on situations and dice rolls. This battle was totally solo. link |

looks interesting. Thanks for the response. I'm unfortunately stuck playing solo more and more. |

It looks very interesting, and different enough to warrant taking a closer look. I take it each base is approximately a battalion? My one concern looking at the example is the small movement rate implied – maybe 4-6" on average even moving straight ahead (2d6 highest), and maybe only 1-3" even at 45 degrees (2d6 lowest) or the same sideways? On the other hand, the unit scale implies a pretty large ground scale (1" = 100 yards?), so about 2 moves will take you from outside effective artillery range to combat range? |

CATenWolde Good question. Here's more info on movement and artillery ranges as well. Yes, 1" equals 100 yards give or take. Battles are set for 3x3 table but you can play on a larger table. Moving forward is faster of course; diagonally? Better to wheel on the 1st turn then straight the next ones. Here are specifics. link I'll be posting more AARs pretty soon and thanks for the interest.
