Not aimed a the wargamer , more those who no nothing other than Waterloo.

Any bets on how many of the public even know he was ever Prime Minister let alone a 'ladies man'?

Those looking for detail should read Rory Muir's book(s).

Disappointed to see they went with the "not everything born in a stable is a horse" nonsense to illustrate his supposed anti-Irish attitudes. Leaving aside the fact that it is well documented that the comment was made about him by Daniel O'Connell (twice – once in a public meeting, once in a court case), there was no mention of his support for Catholic Emancipation – including fighting a duel – and his refusal to accept the Presidency of the Orange Order in Ireland because it was an organisation that discriminated against Catholics.

The greatest Irishman in British history deserved a bit better.

Yes, I was a bit surprised they left out the Emancipation, even if only because it was a contradiction to his generally reactionary political career, which they were only too happy to mention!
