Good morning all!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. Today we'll put down our paint brushes, miniatures and everything else and cater to all our mothers and wives!! Enjoy the day!

We'll do WHAT? I hate "flower and candy" (holi)days. I treat my wife well 24/7, doing dishes, chores, errands, chauffeuring, "snuggle time", talking, sharing, etc. and etc. and etc. "Every other Tuesday as some sort of mothers day" is not part of that, thank you. My wife is so happy, that if I took up a paint brush today she'd be pleased as punch that her hubby is enjoying himself. That means that she's doing a good job helping me be content and happy….

You're a prince among men. I'm sure your wife knows how lucky she really is. :-)

Yeah, I already finished 7 riders for a unit of 28mm Dutch Hussars and 3 Karikuri Special Project figures for Infinity today. Next up are the Belgian Line Infantry.

It's called 'mother's day'. Why do you need to do anything for your wife? She ain't your mother. Be a bit worrying if she was….

Cerdic,

It is possible that your wife is the mother of your children. As such, she may find it appropriate to be recognized for her role as your partner in child-rearing.

I'm surprised that this thread was so short….

Cheers Glenn.

Looks like another of those small cultural differences that cause cross-Atlantic confusion. Over here, Mothers Day is a thing for mothers and their children. Rather than a thing for mothers in general!

True story about Mothers Day.

Hallmark went into the jails to sell Mothers Day cards. There were so many cards sold Hallmark had to bring another shipment.

Mothers Day was such a success that Hallmark went back to the jails for Fathers Day. They sold almost nothing.

Something to think about.
