Seems like you can do this for only $200. USD Seems like a neat project to do with your kids.

Hi

In High School I was in a gaming club. One time the Wood shop teacher come by and we were playing Risk. A month later he presented us with a hand carved game board. It was awesome and sadly disappeared the next year.

Wow. They must like playing Risk a lot to go to all of that effort.

In High School, we had a group of six who played Risk on a regular basis. One of the group wanted a copy, but he could not afford it. He made up a board in much the same way. For pieces, he used tri-beads, a three-point, plastic bead, very inexpensive, available in multiple colors. We played his 'copy' of the game sooo many times. It was great.

Seeing this brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for sharing this. It is a welcome blast from the distant past. It warms my heart to know that we are not the only ones who made our own 'copy' of the game. Cheers!
