This is nearly 6 months old, but I stumbled upon this while trying to find what the latest news on Defiance Games. I suppose that some people will have already read this, but those who haven't this is apparently the most recent official communication from DG. link I'll let the letter speak for itself. |

Old news sadly. They withdrew even that insult of an offer after it was published on a couple of sites. Now the backers get absolutely nothing. Reidy was just a con artist from the start. Funniest thing about the whole saga, his 'evil Chinese trying to take over America' line. Turns out the guy who took over wargames factory, and turned it into a respectable company producing decent figs, is actually Canadian! |

Wait…is he offering to SELL the files to the backers? |

Tony Reidy is less than dog excrement. I'm glad I never backed any of his half-assed kickstarters. He took a lot of peoples hard earned money with his scams. I know one or two people "looking" for him! |

Hmmm, can't produce the product but can afford a lawyer. |

I just wish somebody was making the UAMC marines…..actually I wish Defiance Games had been run by a honest guy and that the scheduled figures and vehicles could have been produced in hard plastic. |

Hmmm, so, $46,492 USD paid into, as of Oct. 2013. Possibly more after that. Where did all the money go? Granted, KS gets their 10%, right off the top. 10% of it being available in a used spin-caster seems like not much left in the way of assets. 80% missing seems like an awful lot – perhaps someone should inquire as to the value of the "raw materials" with his lawyer. A real shame, and a cautionary take for KS. |

"Hmmm, can't produce the product but can afford a lawyer." Not the most expensive I'd suggest. It is a pretty poor letter; margins not justified, the last line off set, and the first paragraph containing a sentence of 47 words. |

Wait…is he offering to SELL the files to the backers? No. It's not written clearly, but it simply says that if you choose to print through Shapeways, you have to pay Shapeways for their exact production and shipping costs. People who sell through Shapeways normally set their prices well above that cost so that they can actually make back some of the time they spent designing the models, if not make a profit. The offer is that there would be $0 USD as producer profit. It's actually a better offer than simply saying, "Here are the files, if you have a 3D printer, have fun, otherwise you're screwed …" |

No, the offer was later withdrawn completely. There is absolutely nothing, in any form, for the backers. This offer was only made to those who had complained anyway. From the AGO This confidential offer was communicated for consideration to those sponsors who submitted a formal complaint to the AGO. The confidential offer was subsequently posted and reposted without authorization on public online forums. Given the confidential nature of the offer, its unauthorized dissemination on public online forums caused Defiance Games, LLC to decide to withdraw from further participation with our voluntary mediation program. |
