I was sitting around the workshop being bored and this just sort of happened! link

It is based on a ship type called a "cromster" it looks like a small galleon but has only a single gun deck and a much smaller crew.

Comments, criticism and psychotherapy all welcome :)

That looks really great!

Now, I want a cutter too.

Can the cutting wire be adjusted at an angle, from the vertical?

Appears so, but thought I'd ask, just to be sure.

Anton Ryzbak09 May 2015 10:25 p.m. PST

Yes, by adjusting the head on the arm you can get to about a 45 degree angle. That is how I cut the taper on the walls of the Fort that I just completed link it doesn't show so well.

I don't mean to sound like a salesman because I am just a big fan but his really is the best hobby-grade foam cutter I have seen and (to my mind at least) is the best value.

BTW for a second I thought you wanted to me to make a "cutter" as in the type of small craft….I was confused for a while

Thanks for the info, Anton.

Yes, I can see how that might be confusing on the cutter issue.

Of course, if you have the spare materials and time. ;-)

I thought the head looked like it might be adjustable, so that is a nice feature to have too.

I live in North Metro Detroit, if you live anywhere nearby I could rough-cut the parts and we could meet and i could drop them off. I have an insane amount of blue-board and could always use the practice cutting foam. Otherwise I could send them to you for the cost of shipping.

Thank you for the very kind offer, Anton.

I really appreciate it, but was only kidding you.

I wouldn't want to impose on your generosity.

It would be no imposition at all, I literally (and I DO mean literally, in the proper sense of the word) have a pile of blue board the size of a minivan. It only took me about ten minutes to cut the rough shapes and strip stock that I used.

If you really aren't interested that is OK, but I will open the offer to anybody who replies in the next three days…..the only proviso is that the customer picks up the shipping.
