Watching Steve Jones AWI GCH game was just one of the great pleasures to be taken away from Salute. The attention to detail was astounding with the game was being played by a few old friends from WAB Weekenders in days gone by so it was possibly the best social of games too. Nice to see Paul, Tom and James and my complliments to Mrs Scrivens for the lovely Lemon Cup Cake!!

As my knowledge of the AWI is somewhat below par I asked Steve to write up a run through of his game which can be viewed on my Just Add Water Blog as well as many other pics:

It's worth the read so please do feel free to flit over to my blog and check it out.

Awesome looking set up. My only nit would be too many green trees for the time of year that battle was fought:

That's a fine looking game.

It is, and to be fair, I think I have used trees with leaves to stand in for the bleakness of leafless trees of mid-March. It must have been a dreary looking battlefield indeed.

Glad that (most) of you enjoyed the pics :>)

It was a real pleasure to see such a well presented and beautifully painted miniature collection on display!
