Having just finished an ACW memoir I got free for Kindle (The Story of a Cannoneer Under Stonewall Jackson) I was inevitably drawn to getting out my copy of Colonel Henderson's excellent and very readable biography of Jackson. Although I've got both volumes in hard-back, I thought I'd just check it's current availability and I was surprised (and pleased) to find it is available for 99p on Amazon UK. It doesn't include the maps of the hard-back but at that price, it's great to have it available in more portable form for reading when out-and-about. Highly recommended:

As you've apparently already paid, I'm almost reluctant to point out that this is available on Project Gutenburg for free (both with and without illustrations)

It's always worth checking out Gutenberg and The Internet Archive for ebooks of titles that are in the public domain. |
