aaaaargh… the author missed a great story! After Grant & Julia left office, they traveled to England and stayed at Buckingham Palace for a night. The Union Veterans created quite a commotion outside hoping to get a glimpse of their former commander. They created such a ruckus and noise that they wouldn't stop until Grant came to the window and waved to them. Being satisfied with this and showing their love for him, they left peacefully and happily.
