Tomorrow, in commemoration of the end of the War in Europe, there will be a flyover of historic aircraft over the Mall in Washington DC (Our Nation's Capital). I plan to be there, but for those of you who cannot do the same there will be a live webcast:

The weather tomorrow is expected to be perfect.

Yes, I had hoped to make it but life got in the way; looking forward to the live cast!

I was wondering what a flyover – one of these – had to do with WW2 commemoration:

but then I realised you meant "fly past" – one of these:

That's a great formation of warbirds!

I've been looking forward to this since the news came out. Thanx!

They are practicing flight formations in Leesburg right now! Lots of planes. And I am stuck on a call.

They better watch where they fly – they might get shot down.

John the Greater07 May 2015 11:43 a.m. PST

Not to worry about anyone getting shot down. If some guy can fly a gyrocopter from Pennsylvania and land it on the Capitol lawn unimpeded, the warbirds should be perfectly safe.

It was amazing.

Watched the livestream during lunch, quality was pretty good!

I went down to the Mall to see it--this was one of the good shots I got:

Nice picture, Sean. That was a challenging environment for photography.
