Hello everyone
I have made my very first YouTube tutorial on making woods made from cheap trees from China.

interesting.
How is the quality of the trees produced in China?

I don't know about the quality of the trees, but I got some bamboo from a Chinese manufacturer that looks very good. I haven't based it yet so no pictures.

I bought some palm trees, and some evergreens, and they are quite nice.

There are some better evergreens on the market than the ones I bought, but they also cost a lot more, so I will be using some of these, along with others, as a mix, on the tabletop.

I have some lovely Chinese-made plastic trees I got on Taobao. I don't like the wire ones so much as the brown paint flakes off and can't really be repaired. But the plastic ones are great (the plastic itself is brown). I hot-glue them to MDF circles:

By the way, the leaf litter is from a Chinese company called Tuma. They make very nice scenic supplies.

To be perfectly honest I found the quality to be really good considering there are approximately £3.00 GBP per 10 which in this day and age is absolutely nothing considering a coffee will cost you £250.00 GBP plus.

Thank you for everybody's comments much appreciated.

Take care

Nice video womble, you have motivated me to use the trees I got from China and get on with some base making this weekend so thanks!

I have loads of plastic trees from China. Funny, but in every case I was able to tell from the pictures on Ebay what the quality would be.

Some of the really, really nice ones, though, are a little fragile for gaming. Not bad with a good and gentle group, but not for the convention/teenager crowd.
