I have completed a German artillery piece for Stalingrad, it's a 15cm sFH 18, plus an extra halftrack 20mm AA gun. There's more pictures and details on my blog:

Thanks for reading!

Shouldn't your screen name be "Sir Mix-a-lot?" wink

Great looking model!

I hope the second floor is missing from that building, otherwise they are about to have a bad day.

Excellent work, but they really stand out against that terrain. What a beautiful set up to game over.

Cheers guys, Von Ted, I would assume that the top floor will be gone within seconds of the gun firing… Sajiro, the cobbles were bought, the buildings were painted by me and a friend.

Excellent work, but how do you get a 15cm howitzer into a game? That kind of artillery I usually have firing from off-table!

Easily fixed with a little scale distortion. grin

Looks very nice! Question, should the gun be that dark? My own German artillery pieces are a lighter shade of gray, not so black. I have no references handy, though, and I have no idea where I sourced the color.

Thanks guys, yep, I had a debate with myself as to whether the guns should be on table or not, but with Rapid Fire being a Battalion level game, I figured it would be a reasonable leap of faith.

tuscaloosa, they are painted in Vallejo's German Grey which is a very dark shade of grey anyway. I'm no expert on the exact shade of grey for German guns, but this looks OK to me:

A lot would depend on the weather that day. I've taken up photography (because clearly I need another hobby) and from it I have learned to appreciate how much lighting influences things. A light gray object on a sunny day can be nearly black on an overcast morning.

Makes sense, thanks.
